Anti corruption rally

An Anti Corruption rally was held at Govt. SPMR College of Commerce in which Jammu Mayor Sh. Rajinder Sharma addressed the students of the college.

Dr. Surinder Kumar, Principal of the college welcomed the Jammu Mayor with a flower plant. He also threw light on various developmental programmes undertaken in Jammu city under the leadership of Sh. Rajinder Sharma. Later Jammu Mayor gave a motivational speech regarding adverse effects of corruption in society and urged in society to stay away from this menace. He stressed upon the fact that offering bribe is as much sinful as accepting bribe and honesty is the best policy. An oath was also taken by the students and all others present on the occasion to keep a distance from corruption in any form. Slogans such as “Imaandar Jammu, Shandaar Jammu” and “Kaam karo Budhi se, Jeevan Jiyo Shudhi se”

About 500 students participated in the awareness programme. Faculty members present during the event were Prof. Savita Jamwal, Dr. Monika Malhotra , Prof. Shafkat Jahangir Dr. Shamim Ahmed, Prof. Deepshikha Sharma, Prof. Harpreet Kour, Prof. Rita Meenia, Dr. Deepak Pathania, Dr. Kulwinder Kour, Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Mr. Raman Sharma and others.
